I gave the book 3 Stars because of the subject matter and the author’s heroism.
But, what didn’t I like?
1. I get protecting sensitive information (TTPs). However, the book “Killer Elite” (also about the ISA) has been out for nearly 20 years and has more details and specifics. Many times the author was vague on anything getting interesting for “security reasons.”
2. I get that he’s got “brown skin” (his words) as an immigrant from Egypt. But, his racial issues throughout the book got a little tiring. Speak on it? Of course…that perspective certainly matters and has value. But, sometimes the race stuff was a bit much for me.
