This is an edited review. I posted on my second day of playing, describing the game as style over substance - that was only after completing the phantom menace and attack of the clones. But boy have I changed my mind. This game is a complete work of art. Yes the levels are shorter, but they’re packing 9 films and 20 planets, that are just great to look at and explore. I think they’ve updated some key issues, like the lack of enemies and items which is nice. I have to say that the second and third trilogy are insanely good. They bring the feel of the Lego Star Wars games and it took me a while to get to grips with the menu system and how everything worked, but after revisiting the old games recently, made me realise how much I over hyped the old ones since last playing them over 12 years ago. I have just completed the whole saga and can now say that this is the new generation of Lego games and I’m really excited to put the hours in to do all of the new side quests and puzzles to unlock and characters and bricks! Don’t be to quick to judge, like me. Give it time. It gets so much better!!! 😁
