The series was good up until this book. This one was rather bland, and confusing due to the excessive implied romantic advances between multiple sets of characters, as well as the "they/them" rubbish. I was absolutely hooked on this series up until this book, constantly coming back for more. This book's target audience is children, presumably 8+ years of age. (that's about when I started reading it at least). Children should not be exposed to this rubbish. I am truly sad that children can be exposed to this nowadays in writing like this. It is completely focused on romance, and validating lgbt in a childrens book at every step. This is what led to the ultimate downfall. book 12 came out amazing, and this is truly horrible. If I ever have kids, they will not be reading this or anything like it. If this book had never come out then that story would be completely different. Overall, I think that this is a factor that massively contributed to my discontinued interest in reading. It is messed up and horrible.
