I am a horror movie lover and I had a coworker tell me they hated this movie. After another coworker told me they loved it, I decided to watch it and form my own opinion. If I had to sum up how this movie made me feel in one word I would have to go with “anxious”. This movie had me on edge throughout its entire duration and I really loved it. It does a great job of showcasing how trauma can affect you, how mental illness feels and the stigma surrounding it both internally and externally. The only real complaints I have is some of the characters acted very stupid given the context of the situation, and the actor playing the fiancé did not give the vibe that he should ever play a serious role in a film. I liked the jump scares as well and they didn’t feel cheap, and the concept of the story felt unique and had me hooked the entire time. I definitely recommend this one.
