I'm around 60 hours into this game, just killed my third main boss and this is what I've seen thus far.
Game looks and feels like a souls game at first, but it's not. At a certain point the game gives enemies a massive hp and power boost for seemingly no reason which means anyone who hasn't levelled vigor is going to get 1-2 shot by most enemies and 1 shot by almost every boss. The game somewhat forces you to grind to beat certain bosses unless you intend on never being hit or cheesing it with coop partners. I've beaten every souls game multiple times and it wasn't until Elden Ring that i felt i couldn't play the build I wanted to because the game decided that you NEED to have high hp. There's also the issue of unbalanced skills/spells. Some late game spells deal significantally less damage then starter spells and can cost almost triple the FP. As well as there being weapon skills that can literally one shot anything outside bosses (this includes pvp players, unless they instantly dodge). Overall good game so far but highly unbalanced in some areas of the game.
