The sad part about this game is when its over you realize theres nothing else out there like it.
Sure there's darksouls, and bloodborne, but its not quite, it out does Destiny, Division, Anthem without even trying.
It uses a novel concept for RNG, where the bosses you face are RNG not the loot, which i think saves the tried and tired concept of low percentage boss drops after a hard kill.
Also adds victory conditions that rewards with better loot if you can pull it off.
kill a boss by shooting it's tail, get a flaming sword, kill it by shooting its face get something else. Trying to meet those conditions on an already challenge fight creates a new level of tension-risk-reward you don't get outside of High end MMO Hardcore dungeoning.
They managed to replicate that in a shooter. Which they couldn't with overwatch. Color me impressed.
