Excellent in every way! Brilliant; moving! Very well done! I’ve watched it 5 times through and saw the Christmas special last night. It was excellent too.

It is not as compelling a storyline. I really don’t like that most of the familiar characters don’t look like they would have looked when young. Not only does Captain Kirk not look like himself but, he doesn’t even speak with the right cadence… Still, it IS Star Trek. So I would never recommend not watching.

Tom Hanks, as always, gives a stellar performance, but the movie is not the best. It lacks the comedy you would hope for, and it has a sad ending. I also did not appreciate the suicide attempts.
