I really felt that the writer didn't enjoy writing this book. His characters lack depth and any sort of charisma, the plot is unbelievable and poorly thought out, and it was unnecessarily long and complicated. I struggled to read it, but continued nevertheless. I was not rewarded for my efforts. The ending was contrived and unsatisfactory, and I really couldn't have cared if every character had been wiped off the face of the earth. Sadly they weren't, and I have a terrible feeling that they'll be back in another turgid story where they'll go through the same unbelievable poorly-written drivel.
