You will need to watch this movie about 3 times (as my wife and I did) to truly appreciate the story and all the plot machinations. While it's easy to write off Ben Affleck's performance as 'wooden', just remember he is depicting an autistic adult which isn't easy. While the screenplay may seem far-fetched at times, there is enough truth in it to give it plausibility. We both found the plot sequencing confusing at times thus necessitating 3 viewings. But the movie did keep our attention and once we got all the details (flashbacks and memories) into order, the story made sense and it was a good story indeed. I would give this one 8/10 with 10 being the best. Watch for the details - the Pollock, the Renoir, the Institute director's daughter and her vocal computer, the use of famous mathematician's names, shell companies tied in to Christian Wolff (which by the way is the name of a famous German philosopher who used mathematical theory to explain certain philosophies), the dented thermos, how he parks his pick up in his garage just so, the minigun he has set up in his garage. Very entertaining and thought provoking.
