I guess it helps if you accept the premise of the reality of reincarnation (I do) and that we often find and recognize and love each other from one lifetime to another (Ido). Otherwise, this might be a little confusing for some people. But I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the author's obvious love and the excellent research she did into the history. When I taught literature of various periods and styles, this was one of my required texts.
