Siyawar Ramchandra Ji ki Jai.
Pawanputra Hanuman Ji ki Jai.
Sabse pehle to ek baat ye ki Prathayein badalti hain samay k saath, Sanatan nahi. Sanatan is timeless. It's literal meaning is being timeless. This is an insulting attempt to make one of our core religious texts more suitable to the modern world.
They have made all the things tapori trying to be modern and western, from dialogues to characters. And the most laughable fact is that the only thing which needed to be modern was Visual Effects and man, did they mess it up?
Marvel-esque hindi dubbed dialogues and 70s visual effects don't go hand in hand.
Screenplay, Dialogues (vulgar to be honest) and Visual Effects are below par. Background score is good but whenever there was a sad scene, whether it's Jatayu's death or Laxman's poisoning or Sita's haran for that matter, it wasn't enough to make you feel sad. There was a lack of emotional connection with this sort of depiction of Ramayan (insulting at times).
I don't know what the makers of this film tried to achieve. They maybe thought that the GenZs will be able to connect more with the film because of some laughable tapori style dialogues and on the other hand they messed up the VFX part so badly that very few GenZs will be able to sit through the whole film. And in my opinion this approach of always making our culture and Sanatan as a whole to be more approachable to GenZs is illogical, we should inspire GenZs to learn our history, culture and religion as it is. They will themselves decide what good they should learn and what evil they should fight.
It's safe to say that makers have failed miserably. It doesn't matter if they had good intentions, they made fun of our culture, religion and our God in front of the whole world.
