Well that was a couple of hours I wonโt get back. It was utterly tedious and to be honest it was an ordeal just sitting there listening to the boring dialogue from boring characters I was completely numb to. I kept looking at my phone to check the time !..oh and donโt get me started!!! Nosferatu with a tash wtf he looked like Magnum Pi. I love films and some films have profoundly moved me but the whole experience these days can be one of noiseโฆโฆgreat crashes of noise and flashing pyrotechnics (obviously not this film) with god awful CGI and formulaic predictable story lines. I should have read some reviews before going to see it but I fell for the title and the pedigree of the original film.
I donโt wonโt to be mean as the director most likelyinvested a lot of time and effort into this, as did an army of highly skilled production staff. Isnโt there one member of staff whose job it is to flag a project up and say this isnโt really working guysโฆ..itโs a bit shit. How is it that after quadrillions of person hours of highly trained craftspeople the end result is โฆโฆat best just irritating. Ok letโs talk about the good points. Great sets (well done staff), beautiful costumes (very well done guys) great cinematography (beautifully done guys) and good cgi recreations of the old town. So sorry the script writers let the film down and the actors delivery was so wooden, especially old Orloc whoโs painfully slow delivery sent me to sleep.
