Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie is a continuation to the two season show of the same name, created by Andy Suriano and Ant Ward who, in 2022, worked alongside Nickelodeon Animation Studio and Netflix to bring the movie to life. Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo and Michelangelo come back to the screen to bring us an exciting movie of humor, action and heart-felt moments through an actual New York City, dealing with time and dimensional travel and an alien invasion, while also dealing with a new leadership and miscommunication between the siblings. The story begins with a sneak peek into an apocalyptic future where an alien race named The Krang took over the Earth. The remaining siblings, Leonardo and Michelangelo, work together to use the latter’s mystic powers to send back to the past one Casey Jones Junior to prevent the apocalypse from ever happening. Meanwhile, the turtles of our time are in the middle of dealing with Leonardo’s new leadership and him not taking it seriously, leading to them losing a token to the Foot Clan. When Casey and the turtles meet, they find out that the token was actually a key to a different dimension and have to work together to prevent the same fate from Casey’s timeline from coming upon them, while also dealing with their inner turmoil. It’s a really exciting movie to watch rated PG7, and also fun to analyze into it’s deeper meanings on the line of thought of the characters, especially Leonardo, whose character development is the most prominent one in the movie. Not only does it give the fans a bit more “food” to calm them a bit after the cliffhanger of the series, but it also opened a huge amount of doors for the fans to create their “what if” stories while the begging for a season three continues. Don’t miss it, it will change the way you are used to perceive the turtles in past deliveries of the franchise and open your mind to big changes of your favourite fandoms.

La película no le hace justicia a los video juegos, y cambiaron el lore original, cosa que honestamente no me agradó. Le falta sangre, no parece una película de terror sino una de Disney. Los animatrónicos no están mal, pero podrían estar mejor. No muestran lo que sería el proceso de asesinato de las víctimas, cosa que creo que le quita chicha a los que viene siendo una película basada en uan saga de juegos de terror en los que has más violencia y terror en una noche que en las 5 que pasa el protagonista en la pizzería. Lo más violento que vi en la peli fue Carl mordiéndole la pierna a Mike y los niños arañándolo en su sueño, pues eran las únicas escenas donde no censuraban la creación de heridas. Si hubieran hecho los mismo con las otras 5 muertes, habría sido mejor. ¿Y que Mike tenga familia viva? Como ya dije cambiaron el lore original, cambiando relaciones, dejando vivos a personajes muertos en los video juegos e incluso cambiando algunas muertes (fantasmas, no se preocupen, William sigue muriendo por Springlocks) y el time spam en el que el personaje debería morir. Me pasé toda la peli esperando oír los icónicos gritos de cada animatronico y lo único que puede escuchar fue el tarareo de Foxy. Honestamente, la peli podría estar bastante mejor, pero la endulzado y la hicieron más pensando e. Los niños que en los fangs de FNAF.
