As a huge horror fan this last installation of the conjuring series was sooo horrible. This was basically a Warren fluff piece with it being about the Warrens health, their daughter dating, their daughter getting married and then oh yea a haunting! We only see 2 SMALL clips about the Smurl family haunting and then we cut to them just all crying at a table because their family is haunted. Like what? There was no background, no multiple clips of the actual haunting happening, no build up to what caused them to call the Warrens. If you know the real Smurl family case you know it is one of the MOST well documented hauntings with the mother even keeping a diary. So WHERE was all the details? Background? Examples of the happenings? Then just bam the Warren's daughter randomly goes there and we start fighting a mirror? No word on the demons name. No background on the demon. Where it came from or nothing. This just seemed like a warren fluff piece which is really disappointing because the first 2 Conjuring's were amazing! The 3rd was ok and this was a total flop.
