I really expected a lot more from this film given the glowing reviews it received. It's really very slight, and some nice touches and good performances don't make up for the lack of depth the subject matter calls for. And things like the low-rent pimp uncle (hello, stereotype!) and ridiculous and ridiculously heavy-handed ending take this film into the negative side for me.

An inoffensive and charming little film, with the emphasis on 'little'. It's so slight and inconsequential, in fact, I wonder why it was even made.

Watched the first episode or two. It mostly left me flat. Yes, the poster tear-down bit was funny but the flatmate interviews, the talking dishwasher, the general unfunniness of the three stars and the sense that I was watching a really inferior Kids in the Hall / Monty Python show had me turn it off in short order.
