What can I say about La Brea? How brave are the actors to try to save the screen writers? How every plot device seems to have been borrowed from other shows? Perhaps the biggest complaint is how they have destroyed time travel for me. Example: having introduced using artifacts (engagement ring and message in a bottle) for the victims to communicate forward, the moderns haven’t used the information to evacuate the area before the pit opens up. For the love of God they have the message. They have an archeological dig site that wasn’t just created since the event. Why didn’t they close off the area beforehand? Also how does the female scientist create a duplicate VTOL aircraft by herself? That’s a huge cost and purchase of controlled items. Who’s going to live: the father, the mother, the brother and the sister, daughter of the doctor, psychologist, comic relief cowardly lion. Who’s going to die: brave military lover of Mom, drug dealer and maybe his cop mom, doctor, survivor that objects to every plan, and of course the kidnapper of young girl.
