Very original. Almost fantasy/fairy tale vibes. Beautiful direction and screen play, with a kind of Wes Anderson meets Jim Henson pastiche. The puppetry was absolutely astonishing. I'm so use to bad cgi my brain was having a hard time processing a lot of what I was seeing. The story/family dynamic is also very well written. Definite recommend.

A really dumb but extremely fun movie. I loved it. Jason Momoa and Jack Black make a surprisngly good duo and really sold it with the earnestness of their performances. The casting was great, and there some very funny moments. As you would expect, tons of fan service, which was all done very well. It's hard to believe they were able to string a competent story together. It actually made me feel happy. Visually, this movie turned it up to 11. Hard to believe the budget was only $150mil. Hoping for a sequel.
