A good portion of the dialogue and plot felt clunky, and both the main character and villain’s motivations felt a little one-dimensional. But the film had a number of decent action scenes, some pretty good comedic moments, and an interesting adaptation of the future vision/time shenanigans concept, though I felt they missed out on a couple of opportunities to further explore and have fun with it. Not the best superhero movie by far but fine enough and still nowhere near as bad as Morbius was for me.

I really liked this movie a lot! Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 would probably still be my favorite marvel movie of the year, but this was certainly a contender! I somewhat agree with the whole “superhero fatigue” notion, but I thought that this movie was another sign that things aren’t as bad as people make them out to be. The action scenes were wonderfully done, the banter between the three leads was great and reminded me of how much I loved Ms. Marvel and the original Captain Marvel, and the comedic moments like the baby Flerkins and planet Aladna added some great levity to a film with a good plot line about the ramifications of war on both sides. There was something a bit lacking with the villain and the S.A.B.E.R. subplot, but otherwise a great film that I had a lot of fun watching.
