The movie seemed to focus on a pc new age route. Keanu reeves role is pretty much entirely useless throughout the entire film. Laurence Fischburne was not in the film whatsoever. And Neil Patrick Harris as a bad guy is entirely laughable. And not in a funny way. As a fan of the original matrix. This doesn't even feel like it's really connected to the trilogy whatsoever. It is. But the matrix is basically changed into a glorified video game. It was like neo died for literally nothing. And brought back for less than nothing. It was a depressing film and as a movie buff. It's honestly rated as my worst movie. Not because it was entirely bad. But because it had the potential to be good. Had a good cast. Had a good budget. And still just had none of the fan feeding it should've. There was no green hue or anything Easter egg like that. If you ever saw the making of the previous movies and the thought process behind the films it made you appreciate it more. But this was an entirely different movie altogether. It was like watching the newer star trek movies. Except the third one was the new star wars trilogy. Yes both in space and have similarities. But just entirely different genre. If you're not a fan. You might enjoy it. But I'd still avoid it.
