***spoilers*** Start by saying that I did enjoy this movie, especially in IMAX, if it was a stand alone movie then might have given it a 4/5 but since it the sequel to an already great movie, here we go. Pros: Fighting scenes is what you would expect from a movie about gladiators, big great action scenes! Really enjoyed the opening scene. The scenery was amazing. Pascal’s Cons: Most of my cons will be the script itself. -First off why did she need to get rid of her son in the first place? As soon as Maximus dies and is carried off, she grabs her son and send him away saying that people will be after him, BUT wasnt the whole plan to restore power to the Senate? This just means that the first movie had no significance and Maximus's death was for nothing. -The two emperors? They were characters I would expect from a children's show, just a clown show all together. Your telling me that those two are the rulers that everyone feared? Joke. -Also Denzel’s character Just think the chose the wrong actor for this role and the character just made too many oppositions, Could have done without, especially the last fight scene was just corny. The main character runs after him, past 6,000 men? And nobody stopped him? Just to fight between both armies? The big epic army fight that they were forshadowing the whole movie just never happened Overall it was a Money Grab, Wish they stop making sequels and focused on original movies with leSS CGI
