A Powerful Tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
"Chhava" is a film that truly transports you into the world of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It doesnโt feel like a movie..it feels like history coming alive. Vicky Kaushal doesnโt just act, he becomes Shivaji Maharaj. The way he delivers the dialogues, the expressions, the body language ๐ everything is so powerful. In the war scenes, he is just unbelievable. It felt so real, like I was witnessing the great Maratha warrior himself.
The movie is grand, and the storytelling is gripping from start to end. Itโs been a long time since I watched a film that felt complete โจ where every scene, every moment had a purpose. These days, thatโs rare. The battle sequences are stunning, the emotions hit hard, and the entire film carries the weight of history so well.
A. R. Rahmanโs music is, of course, good, but at times, it comes in very suddenly. A little smoother transition would have made it perfect. Rashmikaโs performance was nice, but her dialogue delivery could have been stronger. Still, the overall film is so engaging that these things donโt take away from the experience.
What I really loved is how it shows not just Shivaji Maharaj, the warrior, but also the leader, the visionary, the man who dedicated his life to his people. His courage, intelligence, and undying spirit for Swarajya are beautifully portrayed.
This film deserves much more appreciation. Itโs not just a film ๐ itโs a tribute to one of the greatest kings in Indian history. On behalf of the Telugu audience, I can say that this film resonates beyond language and region ๐ฅ true history and bravery have no boundaries. If you love historical films, war films, or just good cinema, this is a must-watch.
Har Har Mahadev! ๐ฅ
