Absolutely loved this movie! The details and the characterization of Superman is truly highlighted in this film! James Gunn understands the ethos of the character and it was so brilliant to see it on the big screen. *spoilers* The way Superman saves a squirrel, a dog, and kids from being crushed is essential to his character. When Superman was in the pocket universe fighting while holding a baby and still making sure the baby was dropped or hurt is what a superhero should be! And when Superman fell in the river and was being swept by the current onto a black hole he was still holding that baby up. That was something that resonates to the core of who Superman is. The cinematic shots of Superman and the symbol throughout the movie were nice pauses and reminders that hope is here. The slow motion shots of Superman near the end where it zooms to the symbol on his chest was beautiful. Legit an amazing Superman movie and will definitely watch again.
