Bond’s fight against a worldwide far-right conspiracy to cut off quinoa and soy milk to the United Kingdom is an epic. I was breathless as he laid into CEO’s of small companies who don’t have a DEI strategy, and campaigned outside McDonald’s for a meat-free world. There are still some troubling scenes as one would expect. He opens the door for a womxn in one chapter (they aren’t useless James!), and jumbles up the pronouns of an American agent. Minor quibbles aside, this is a stirring tale of derring-do and I can’t wait for Sam Smith to play them in the big screen adaption.
