Surely they must have seen the original
This was modern day film making claptrap. Very few films made nowadays are anywhere near the quality of days gone by. The storyline was ridiculous (remember we are talking Roadhouse so not a high bar at all) the filming was awful only matched by the acting. Nothing really to be said about McGregor but he did provide a comedy element.
