If "meh" was a movie....
This movie seemed like an absolute cash grab, and felt like the writers struggled to come up with any real drama in Bruce's life. Sure, he was depressed(who isn't), and he had a drunk dad(who doesn't). But it was not compelling enough to make a movie about. And in the end, he goes to therapy ....the end.
Acting by Jeremy (Allen White) was stellar as expected, but the acting from everyone else bordered on made-for-tv movie. The flashbacks were Sooooooo tedious, and went nowhere(what was the story with the farm scene?!).
Oh, and if you think this is a biopic of Bruce, think again. Somebody decided the good idea would be to base the movie on Bruce's LEAST popular album! Why?! It's absurd. The movie only hits its highs when I'm On Fire or Born in the USA are rehearsed, but then that is totally scrapped in favor of the dreariest Springsteen music you can imagine.
Just plain dumb.
