So elated that my favourite person is back and doing what he does best, taking us to dark places and enacting some dark justice! I am so happy with the new series. After 3 episodes it brings me back to the beginning of 2006, despite it being in a new city, it still feels the same. I agree with one reviewer who mentioned that in the past, there were some side characters that were given too much attention drifting away from what we tuned in for, watching Dexter in his glory, and I often found myself "fast-forwarding" through these interactions....well so far so good, I've watched every second of each episode. I loved the call backs to past characters as it somewhat grounds Dexter to his journey so far. And the famous line that was spoken by one of these characters (and forever memmed)...no spoilers...was expected but I was very thankful that they included it in there, made me laugh sooo much! I am so far hopeful that this will be the series that ends in the right way. Although I understand you can't please everyone, some of the past series endings just left much to be desired but I hope that's something I don't have to think about for many years!!! Congrats to series creators, writers, actors, production, etc. for doing such a great job and working so hard to resurrect ...no pun intended....something so loved back to tv for our enjoyment, very thankful. Can't wait to see what's coming next.
