โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ (4 Star) Verdict: Impeccable acting and impactful climax but tempo fizzles in-between due to mundane action sequences and mediocre BGM lacking Maratha flavor. Vicky and Akshay Khanna shines. Climax steals the show. At the outset the Movie is not so extraordinary till the capture of Sambhaji Raje. Though the entry scene of Raje portrays strength and velour but subsequent battle scenes are mediocre and mundane. The movie takes 180 turn when the Mughals approach to capture Raje. The follow through takes it to a whole new level. The level at which one transcends to history. The climax then leaves you with the pride being born in a country of great warriors and guardians of Dharma. The most disappointing factor is BGM given by the great A R Rahman. Rahman fails to create the magic he is known for. The vibes are more of Mughal celebration than Maratha. Music Directors of Kesri had done far better job than Rehman. Daler Mehndi or B Praak or Shankar Mahadevan could have done justice to it. Akshay Khanna displays his A Game. Vicky Kaushal leverages his strength of portraying Character roles again. His secret sauce remains his ordinary and common man persona and down to earth nature which establishes him in the top line of `finest actors' going beyond so called 'superstar? badges. Casting of a superstar instead of a true actor would have been disaster for movies of this genres. Diana Penty and Rashmika both have done their job well. Overall the Movie is a must watch.
