I have not read a book in years, preferring to listen to audiobooks. Yet there was something about this book that just yelled at me to read it. And I did. In two days flat. The details that Virginia shares about her childhood and the variety of trauma that unfolds amidst a sad picture of unloving parental care and neglect is gripping. It also brings to light this incredible woman’s fight, not just for herself but other survivors of Epstein and ‘the elite’ who continue to weld power over the most vulnerable. She shares accounts of her time with Epstein and Maxwell in detail. It’s hard to read. But read it you must. And talk about it you must. The taboo of sexual abuse must be broken. I thoroughly admire the warrior she was and am saddened by the events that transpired towards the end of her life. She and other like her, deserved so much more. So much more.
