I read the books. I was good with everything in episodes 1-7. I liked some changes, disliked some changes, but overall fully accepted that this would be a different take on the story, and was actually enjoying the differences and the small surprises. Episode 8 was a straight-up desecration of the first book in one of the most infuential fantasy series of all time. No more for me.
