Incredible story and superbly executed. As an English man, I have always found the racial history of America fascinating, but obviously not in a good way. I’m 48 and have regularly heard and seen, in various documentaries and films, the devastating and incomprehensible behaviour that the ‘non white’ community had to endure. I think this book balances the views and relives events brilliantly. The emotion is palpable. This book will be in my memory for many years, it will sit along side the closing argument of the defence, from John Grishams A Time To Kill. The delivery from Matthew M in the film, will forever be in my mind.
