Ghost of Tsushima is single-handedly, one of the greatest games I have ever played. As a trophy hunter, i like to complete games in their entirety, and when Ghost of Tsushima was added to the playstation subscription service, decided to give it a go.
I enjoyed every single aspect of the single player campaign. Every mission was enjoyable, every side quest was engaging. Stealth didn't feel as daunting as it does in other games. Not to mention, the story as a whole is one of the best i've ever experienced in any media form. One year on from when i first played Tsushima, i am still returning to it and loving every second. The characters and dialogue are portrayed to perfection, and no game has ever made me feel so in touch with these characters. A stand out in this game is certainly the graphical performance of it, easily being the most beautiful game I've ever played.
Combat in the game can be slightly challenging to grip, but its nothing the game wont tell you how to do, and once understood, feels like second nature. I enjoyed this game so much, I even decided to complete New Game Plus and didn't mind doing so at all, turning the difficulty up to max, and pushing myself for the extra challenge.
Ghost also has an online aspect to the game, with a separate story, and many multiplayer modes. Most of which consist of 4 players working together with differing character classes to survive waves of enemies, to level up and collect gear to increase the effectiveness of their characters. This can be done in preparation for the hardest mode of the online multiplayer, and the game is made up of several difficulty settings online, that are locked util you reach a certain gear status. While most single player games having online is a turn off for me, Ghost executes it to perfection.
I cannot recommend this game enough if you haven't played it already. 5 stars
