Reading the reviews about the nativity scene gets a little depressing. As a Christian, no I did not appreciate the blatant disregard for Christ that this film displays.
However, watching the scene in context you are made well aware that everything about it was done to the extreme specifically for laughs. The character who directed the play is set up very early on as wanting to change Christmas traditions and this is how we are brought into the film. This scene will continue to be debated, but, I think that the prelude to the scene made it more fun then anything.
The rest of the film with any woke or left wing ideology is also played within context, a character is set up with her quirk being these woke ideologies. These are set up to be very obviously bad choices and wrong ideas that are honestly comical. Without spoiling the ending, the more the film progresses the less woke or left wing ideology shows up, and the movie seemed to trend more to the idea that traditional family (or as close as you can get to it) is what the Christmas season is all about. In the context of this not being made by Christians as a Christian movie then this is about as anti woke as you can get, with most of the woke ideology seemingly played to laugh at. I am not saying that I liked the character, but she did have her own redemption ark with how she stopped expressing her dumb woke ideas.
Only thing I wish is that the one Father Character was not an absolute idiot. However, with the feminism push it isn't anything that we haven't seen already.
TLDR: As a Christian, it did not feel like they were mocking Christianity, but mocking wokism and promoting traditional family values. Strong characters were developed (mostly) and the jokes (again, mostly) were played well thanks to the editors.
