Was looking forward to this, but left quite disappointed. The plot is very thin and characters are all quite underdeveloped and one-dimensional so even when there are "major events" happening to them, it falls flat because the reader has no reason to really care about them or take them seriously. The writer makes a lot of repetition (Devon's apparent talent and superstardom, how everybody else's world revolves around her and gymnastics, the whole foot thing, Ryan's hotness and how his death was so heart-wrechingly sad) to the point of annoyance. One can tell that the writer was trying really hard to draw out the drama and mystery, but that failed because you can easily figure out the whole plot as soon as it is introduced, with the rest of the book feeling like unnecessary filler. I gave it a chance and read all the way to the end, where a cliffhanger ending was attempted, but that also fell disappointingly flat on its face.
Would not recommend.
