This book is really depressing, and not funny at all as it claims on the cover. The issues it highlights are important to talk about and I understand stories about refugees are not going to be super happy. But the entire story of Little Bee's life is awful and sad. The ending makes you think it is going to be a happy one, and then at the very last second it switches to a horrible ending. With no explanation of what actually happens.
