It's hard to explain exactly why this game is so good without giving spoilers away. Essentially, the writing is stupendous! It will make you feel things. There's a tonne of negative reviews out there, mainly because people are unhappy with the story of the second game. However, people are just reflecting the post-apocalyptic sentiment of the character's situations. Obviously, people are heavily invested in the characters in this series... what better example of how incredible the writing is than people caring deeply about every creative decision that is made? I will be buying a PS5, and 75% of that decision is because Naughty Dog are a Sony exclusive studio. Everything they produce is gold and push the boundaries of what a video game can do beyond just entertainment.
