It's a good family movie. I'm glad that Netflix produced it because this is a type of movie you watch at home while cuddling up on the couch with your family and popcorn.
It's not perfect. I agree with several viewers that this movie took ideas from many other movies and mashed them into this flick. The storyline does need work because there are enough plot holes and it does get confusing at times because there is just too much going on. Special effects could also need some tweaking as well.
The cast is great. I think that Jennifer Garner and Zoe Santana were highly unutilized. Ryan Reynolds is as always very likeable and has a great comedic presence. Walker Scobell did a great job playing 12 y.o. Adam matching Ryan's mannerisms. Overall, casting was well done. Netflix had been awesome in getting top notch actors/actresses to star in their originals.
