This is an exceptionally good show, and incredibly subtle. I have read many writers reviews (mainly American) who just don’t understand Japanese culture and the pride they put into their work (not just tailors, but most working people). It challenges ideas of what is beautiful, shows how much skill goes into designing and crafting beautiful lingerie, and shows that with passion, sensitivity, and due care, one can entirely change how a woman feels about themselves merely through wearing beautiful lingerie made expressly for their unique body. For me, Episode 2 is the best, as it shows the way a business owner should treat their customers (not merely the rich, but also those who genuinely can’t afford high end attire), erstwhile sending a message of womanly confidence in oneself through their most intimate attire. “Even housewives deserve to feel beautiful”. Splendid creation Sekiguchi!
