I experienced issues both ways on my round trip! The Frontier agents were very rude and disorganized. I traveled with the same size personal bag I always do but somehow this time, the people at the gate claimed my bag was slightly too big and charged me for my bag as a carry on. On my first flight, I was there for my flight more than 2 hours in advance. They started lining us up and making announcements maybe 20 min before. They pulled the whole bag is slightly to big thing. I tried to pay online since it was cheaper and tried not put up a fuss. This Frontier guy told me “we don’t have time for that. Pay here”. Swiped my card, I asked for a receipt, he said he couldn’t give me one and I only had 3 min left to get on the plane. He swiped my card for $200 which is way higher than the listed price online. And since I don’t have a receipt, how do I know what I paid for?! I had to look at my bank statement to even know what I paid! This is a complete scam. Also, On the way back, my flight was delayed over 3 hours. There were no reasonable options to change my flight without stops. Worst experience of my life! I had to call out of work the next day because of the delay! My flight was delayed until midnight! I asked to be partially refunded for the inconvenience. Customer service gave me a $50 voucher to fly with them again instead. I will never fly with them again! Definitely disappointed with Frontier! My trip, both ways, was ruined. I have spent a lot of money with Frontier and I feel like this has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had.
