I thought this was a very enjoyable series. I was really surprised to learn about this successful woman. It should have been made years ago, to let the world know that America had an Afro-American millionairess in a time of deep, entrenched racism and oppression of not only black civil rights but women's rights too.

An excellent mini series. Top acting. Well written script and story line and memorable characters.

I normally enjoy all civil rights films. I thought this one was disappointing and I kept losing interest in it. I don't feel I learnt much about Mr Evers himself. Although it was touching to see his family participated in the film. I think I'll find out more about Mr Evers by watching some youtube documentaries instead.

This film is an emotional rollercoaster. It's very intense and claustrophobic. The acting and characters are excellent. I learned tremendous respect for these submariners as they faced terrifying danger each day. This was the reality for all u-boat crews in WW2. Terrific.

Denzel is superb in this movie. A colourful, enjoyable story of a man's struggle to spiritual enlightenment after a very tough earlier life.

Good series. Fine acting from the main characters. Very dark though. There was one bit in episode 5 that was pitch black, ridiculous. Gritty story that shows how hard life was at sea for the whalers and harpoonists. Stephen Graham was playing a Yorkshireman but he kept on slipping back to his Liverpool accent.

Disappointing. Overlong. The 2 lead characters are memorable though. Brad and Leonardo have an easy chemistry that's so good for their parts

Honestly I don't know why they bothered. Terrible.
