Acting was good, special effects so-so, but the character of Ava was uneven and plodding. Using the f-word over and over (Ava especially), and the lesbian undertones, trying to make it more relevant, instead made it forced and at times cringe-worthy. Alba Baptista was miscast, the plot all over the place. Too bad, I know they tried - but failed.

Don’t waste your time with this gratuitous, so over the top, politically correct nonsense. The acting, particularly the actress playing “Michael” takes over-acting to another level. Her bi-polar range of cringeworthy acting is really hard to watch. And the story-lines and the writing isn’t any better. Strange New Worlds is only slightly better, same issues, but the Spock character saves it, but only marginally. I would take Worf, Seven of Nine, Picard, Quark, Archer and Sisko acted respective Star Trek reruns ANY DAY over this gratuitous PC waste of time and money. So, so bad….
