Ew idk what this was. I liked parts of it but I hated others. The ending was lame.

I’m not kidding when I say I haven’t seen a film this badly written like… ever… they spoiled the entire thing in the trailer and I can’t think of a single thing that wasn’t predicable. I expected them to flesh out the villain but they didn’t at ALL. She was a bratty, popular girl that turned out to be evil. Big surprise. And she wasn’t written half as good as Regina george. (I’m a Big mean girls fan btw) Even the world building was bad! What about the mermaids? We don’t get any explanation about them they’re just “evil”. That’s IT. It’s so shallow I can’t believe it… the only part that made me feel anything other than disappointment was the asmr clip at the beginning. That was funny. Still painfully bad 🤮 I’m trying to think good things in this film but I can’t… it’s just trash…

The “turning the evil character giant at the end instead of being creative” thing is very overused. And it was going for an emotional ending but I don’t think anyone felt even remotely emotional or moved by this film. The characters were cute although I felt they weren’t explored enough and were more decoration than anything. The awkward parts were supposed to bring suspense to the film but I think everyone was just feeling like “what am I even watching” rather than on the edge of their seat. The visuals were cute and funny and I adored the character design and how inclusive it was. Although cons outweigh the pros in my opinion. But I’m just a Disney fan on the internet and I’m not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings. If u enjoyed it, then good for u.
