Disney missed the mark with this film.....Same sex Families is now how Disney identifies. They have decided that Buzz story needed to indoctrinate kids on what they feel is a family. Shame on you Disney for allowing a few virtue signaling executes make decisions for traditional families. So wrong.
On a side note the movie fell flat. The characters were very underdeveloped. Who was Buzz before star command. No one really knows why Buzz is the way he is or why he became a star commander or for that matter what he became both the hero and the villain.
His lesbian boss / co worker is the only character who Disney decided was note worthy to get attention. Disney spent a good portion of the movie making sure the audience saw her love interest, fall in love, kiss, marry, get pregnant, and then go onto to have grandkids.
There are 4 other characters in this story who get little to no development. It's the weirdest group of disjointed individuals that have nothing in common except that they are the only people that can help save the day. As a band of misfits....it's so confusing and the plot twists and turns so much it makes it hard to understand if Buzz 's character is progressing or regressing with each failure. Buzz's Character seems to fail literally.....He can't win no matter what he does and that seems to be the message.
