This is an important film that reflects the current world we live in. Both leads give beautiful, powerful performances that brought tears to my eyes. Kyle Gallner's performance is unnerving, magnetic, and heartbreaking. Although there are tense, horrific situations, I would not classify this as the horror movie it seems to be marketed as. The film deals more with interpersonal relations, broken people, and the cycle of abuse. Something about this film really struck a chord with me that is hard to put into words. Check out the directors 2022 film Swallowed which is also a moving experience.
