I have owned this book since it was first published. It is one of those ‘comfort’ books for the fly guy.
The chapter on damselfly fishing at Roche lake was exhilarating to say the least. But even more so when I, for the first time, tried the technique described and was rewarded with a fat 3 pound rainbow while standing in the shoreline reeds.
Then there is the chapter on a double stacked squirrel tale fly imitating the sedge just under the surface film. Incredible book for sure. It’s a timeless small tome. It’s become an old friend.
