Stone and Sky was disappointing compared with earlier books in the series. Nightingale appeared only briefly and Peter Grant didn’t play a dominant role. Abigail was the star of the show, together with Indigo the vixen who was great. Abigail used quite a bit of slang which I found hard to follow. But most underwhelming was the plot, which consisted of multiple unconnected scenarios, many of which were not developed. I actually wondered if Ben Aaronovitch had a ghostwriter, although none is credited. I’ll read the reviews of anymore books in the series before bothering to get any from the library.
