Reading the passages about Leah's "flashes" instantly brought to mind my own daughter's struggles with epilepsy and not having a name or a diagnosis for several years. This book made me grapple with what could have happened to her had she lived in the 1930s and made me so thankful to live in the time we do. This book was so well written and had me sobbing at various points. The author writes about some very heavy topics in a relatable way. Outstanding book!
