I get to know someone who lived under apartheid for his childhood thanks to Trevor Noah's Born A Crime. The book's title vividly introduces the concept of the system as well. Despite how smart, energetic and optimistic Trevor himself is, I also see how important the role that his mother plays in his life. His mother has brought him an open minded, inclusive and creative way of domestic education, which I believe contributes a lot to his personality and success later on about his career. Wonderful book!
