I was at a major league baseball game one afternoon long ago with my father. Our seats were sponsored by his employer and he had large number of non-hearing individuals working alongside with him. It wasn’t until I saw my father interacting with his coworkers in away that I had never seen…that I was completely taken aback. This movie disarmed me in the same way, but the acting was not forced or hokey. I wasn’t watching interactions between a deaf family…I was watching real interactions amongst a family that happens to deaf. And I was blown away. Very well done, in my opinion.
