Intriguing, but anti-climatic. While the step-father was a nasty piece of work, his character was not developed quite enough to make Lily’s motivations clear, which was generally dissatisfying. More moments of humour were needed to provide breaks from the uncomfortable monotonous conversations between Lily and Amanda. Although, Tim did provide some relief, leaving me to feel disturbingly sympathetic towards him. Despite potential, the social commentary fell short. However, Olivia Cooke and Anya Taylor-Joy were captivating.
