🎀 SPOILERS (not too much) 🎀
first off.. don’t expect this review to be some fancy in depth review like i’m deeply analyzing how well structured the plot is or smth. i’m just going based off how i felt. truth be told, i’m still watching right now— & i’m enjoying so far honestly. i love the attributes that it has lacking in the original show regarding the characters. like when adrien yelled at his father?? LOOOOL. he was more quick to be confrontational with him than he ever was in the show (took like mad seasons for him to even attempt). chloe was also less annoying/harsh ngl. i still don’t like the way she behaves but it’s just the typical bully so it’s not like i expect a whole change or even want one. and marinette wasn’t stalkerish so like that’s cool! the animation eeeeats too!! VERY pretty, very flowy, very fun. some thought the dialogue was corny but like it iiiis still meant to be a kids show. i might be childish then cus it made me chuckle a bit.. maybe even giggle. especially when adrien was sulking over ladybug talm bout some, “the less interested you are, the more they run after you,” like shut up silly boy! overall, it was pretty fun to watch ngl. plus seeing gabriel’s heart softened? it was a sweet sight to see. oh & the voice difference of marinette singing caught me off guard but ion mind cus it grew on me & both chat noir & ladybug was saaaanging like c’mon choirrr! anyways, y’all get the gist.. i personally enjoyed it. just a fun likkle movie to watch when you’re bored n want smth lighthearted.
also sorry (i’m actually not sorry) but i’m a firm believer in God & the message of “the only power stronger than death is love” reminded me of Jesus so I loooooved the message. cause it reminds me of Jesus defeating death (wages of sin) by taking His own life depicting the greatest act of love that was sacrificial, which He is the epitome of. Jesus is Love & Heee defeated death, so to see that message be put within the movie had me giggling even if they weren’t talm bout Jesus actually being the love. & the portrayal of gabriel confessing to adrien of his wrong doings (sins) bc of the past with his wife’s death taking a toll on him..??? in that scene i loved to see the peace & beauty of forgiveness as well as letting go. had my lil christian self tearin up.. 🥲 ANYWAYS YEAAAAA BOMB MOVIE. BOMB MESSAGE. BOMB ANIMATION.
BOMB BOMB BOMB 💣💣💣💣💣
